The family name goes back to
thirteenth century Denmark,
where the original name was
Jute-ten-den, meaning "Home
of the Jutes," from the Jutland
peninsula of Denmark.  The
Coat of Arms is believed to be
authentic.
My family has been in this
country since 1635.
Here's one of our
ancestors.
I carved the coat of arms in redwood.
